What is a learning community?

A learning community is a group of people who come together regularly to grow in their faith and leadership. You meet every few weeks online, work through helpful materials between sessions, and learn from each other’s experiences.
It’s a supportive space where you discover your purpose, develop ministry skills, and build meaningful connections all while being part of a bigger than yourself.

The aim of a learning community is to provide equipping through a peer-to-peer learning model in order to equip and empower followers of Christ to plant the Gospel in their neighborhoods to join God’s mission of redemption, reconciliation, and restoration.

The cohort spans 8 months with 10 sessions meeting every three weeks via Zoom or in-person depending on the needs of the cohort.
Sessions occur the weeks of Aug 25, Sept 15, Oct 6, Oct 27, Nov 17, Jan 5, Jan 26, Feb 16, Mar 9, and Mar 30, with December reserved for rest and devotional reading.
Participants work through materials during off weeks. The cohort concludes with a celebratory dinner at the Hazel’s.

We desire for our cohorts to be accessible to everyone, which means they are free to join and are funded through donations. If you are able to contribute, we encourage a suggested donation of $30 per participant to help cover the costs of materials. You can donate by clicking here.

Discover Your Purpose
A learning community focused on discovering your specific purpose in God’s story. This cohort focuses on introducing missional living, fostering reproducing disciples-making, and engaging in thoughtful exploration of personal calling.

Emerging Leaders
Emerging leaders is an experience aimed at equipping Gen Z to be leaders where they live, work, play, and learn. The content is aimed at deepening theological comprehension, developing leadership skills, and equipping for reproducing disciple-making.

Multiplying Leaders
This cohort is focused on contextualized theology and leadership development, building reproducing disciple-making pipelines, and fostering peer-to-peer learning.

Disciple-Maker Leaders
Centering on spiritual formation, this learning community will wrestle through the foundations of gospel painting, establishing a daily ministry rhythm, and learning to be a disciple who makes disciples.

Disciple-Making through Worship
Join a network of disciple-making worship leaders on mission together. This cohort encourages peer-to-peer learning while developing a model of missional worship.
